About Us

Welcome to the site of Development and Implementation of Self-Assessment Exercise for Mechanical Engineering Program (CP-2373). Development and Implementation of Self-Assessment Exercise for Mechanical Engineering Program (CP-2373) is a sub project of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) (www.heqep-ugc.gov.bd). The main Objectives of this project are as follows:

  • Identify the existing courses to evaluate, review and redesign their contents.
  • Evaluate existing teaching methods, mode of learning and students performance evaluation techniques.
  • Analyzing and evaluating the sufficiency of the physical and supporting facilities for academic and co-curricular activities.
  • Measure students’ progress, achievement and skill towards expected immediate assignment (job placement).
  • Ascertain students’ feedback and its immediate implementation and use.
  • Evaluating the learners’ scope and opportunities for getting continuous guidance and counseling.
  • Inviting external peers for validation and comments about the assessment report.

This project will assess undergraduate as well as post graduate program (M.Sc & Ph. D) of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology. An action plan will also be developed under this project.

The main activities are: identifying the mission, objective and outcome of the program, through studying and analyzing the current course curriculum and supporting laboratories, verifying the existing program meet the objectives and institutional goals. Creating a web-based alumni database and employer database for conducting surveys and feedback, examining and evaluating the physical and supporting facilities for academic and co-curricular activities, analyzing the sufficiency, qualification and practical experiences of teaching staffs, inviting external peers for validation and comments, arranging workshop/ training program, and motivational campaigns through leaflets and poster exhibitions.
